Maxi Cosi Priori XP – Keep Your Precious Children Safe

The Maxi Cosi Priori XP is made for children up to 40 pounds and around 35 inches. It comes with a five point safety harness as well as an adjustable carry handle. Also, it features a one hand release. One of the truly great features of this baby car seat is that you can easily adjust the height of the harness with a push of a button system instead of having to rethread the harness. In the front simply push the button and you can adjust it easily. As you will notice it has a very narrow profile and an ergonomic design. And that means that it easily fits into smaller cars.

The one thing I really like about the Maxi Cosi Priori XP is the base. And the base stays in the car and you can take the baby carrier out and use it as a part of a travel system. So, if your precious one is napping in the automobile and you have arrived to your destination you can take the baby carrier out without waking up him or her.

It is also good to know that there is a little bit of assembly required right out of the box.

It has a side protection for comfort and safety. But it does not have a machine washable seat cover. You will have to hand-wash it with hot soapy water. So, this is a slight downside. Also, it has an adjustable handle as well as a five point harness for safety. But unlike some other baby car seats it doesn’t have an level indicator.

Another great feature of this car seat is its comfort and the safety. It is reinforced and comes with EPS foam which is actually energy absorbing foam. So, not only is it safe it is very comfortable and very well padded.

Some people complained that the Maxi Cosi Priori XP may not be as comfortable as other car seats. And in particular they mentioned that the crutch area caused some of their children a little bit of discomfort. And it may be that didn’t realize that the entire harness system including the crutch area is completely adjustable. Also, it comes with a retractable handle.

This car seat does not require a lot of assembly. And that is great. So, if you are going to be frequently changing the different features it you will be pleased to find out how easy it is. Best of all, it meats all of the European and US safety standards. Also, this seat is very comfortable both for one year olds and for four years old. It comes with EPP foam and that basically means is that it is very comfortable and it also has a lot of shock absorption. So, that is great in terms of safety. And as I already mentioned it comes with a five point harness which is great feature to have in a child car seat.

Overall, Maxi Cosi Priori XP is a great option for your child in a front facing position up to 40 pounds. It is really convenient and easy to use.

Maxi Cosi Priori XP – Your Baby's Safety First

Basically, there are two types of child car seat designs for you to choose from. The convertible car seat, a larger of the two, is made to grow with your child through the years. The portable infant car seat carrier can be used until your child is a year old and 20 pounds. Since infant seats must seat in a 45 degree angle many of them come with a gage. Car seats are built to grow with your baby.

Maxi Cosi designs and develops all of their products with baby safety in mind. Babies grow quickly and when yours reaches one year and 20 pounds they can ride in a forward facing car seat just like the Maxi Cosi Priori XP. There are a lot of car seat options out there, but this one is really special. It helps keep your child in a 5 point padded harness longer than most other car seats all the way up to 40 pounds. So, it will fit your toddler to big kid without having to buy series of car seats. As the child grows older you will have to adjust the harness system to adjust it to its size. And you must remember that the retainer clip should always be set higher on chest at armpit level. Probably the best rule of thumb to determine whether you have strapped your child tight enough is to have just enough room to pinch less than one inch of the shoulder belt and slide just two fingers under the child’s padded shoulders strap.

Because the middle seat is the best seat for newborns some car manufacturers have customized belt systems. Your infant seat can also come with a locking key which helps keep seat belt secure.

Incredibly, 5 out of 6 car seats are improperly installed. It is critical to refer to the instruction manuals of both of your car and your baby car seat.

Once installed Maxi Cosi Priori XP car seat or the base shouldn’t move more than one inch in any direction (left, right, up or down). And remember that the carrier handle must be folded back and the seat must snap firmly into place. If your child’s head needs to be propped up by a pillow use the inserts provided by the Maxi Cosi. It is not recommended to use other accessories than the original accessories.

This product is an excellent choice for your baby. Just remember, it is recommended that infants ride rear facing for one year and 20 pounds.

A great feature is the stay in car base, because you only have to install it once. The baby carrier easily removes. You can also purchase several bases, so you can easily transfer the baby carrier from car to car.

Just remember, the child safety should always be considered as the number one priority. Child restrain systems have come a long way and now are lightweight, compact, easy for anyone to use, and safer than ever before. Laws have changed rapidly in the past 30 years and child car seats may be subjected to even more stringent child safety laws in the future. First and most important of all, younger children are no longer allowed in the front seat. And although the law can not regulate everything, and a common saying among immoral people is "it's only wrong if you get caught," you should always avoid certain things. For example, as tempting as it is to attach toys to your Maxi Cosi Priori XP car seat these items usually are not safe.

Maxi Cosi Priori XP - Child Protection Matters

The Maxi Cosi Priori XP is the classical front facing baby car seat, although it can be used as a rear facing seat as well. This manufacturer has been a pioneer in baby passenger safety for more than 25 years, with a legacy of outstanding performance in developing new solutions that improve the safety of baby car seats and enhance their ease of use and installation. This seat is suitable from nine months until around four years. It is made out of two pieces – the base (that fixes directly to the seat of a car) and the baby carrier in which the baby goes.

This car seat is the newest edition to Maxi Cosi’s collection. It has ergonomic handle that is flattened, so when you loop it under your arm it is going to be a little bit more comfortable than your standard infant car seats. Plus you have the grip on handle. It has the side impact protection which is very nice and it is stuffed with foam. It has a secured five point harness with padded straps and padded crutch plate as well. The straps are extremely easy to tighten and loosen at will, and are also extremely secure.

The Maxi Cosi Priori XP also features a head rest. As your child grows you want to adjust the harness height – you do not have to go to the back of your car seat. As you can notice on the front of the seat is the easy to do lever that slides up and down depending on how tall or short your baby is. So, it is very user friendly. So, you can adjust the harness with the front lever and that is going to allow you to tighten it and loosen it very easily. The seat itself is cozy and is very beautiful (especially the blue one). Also, it features hooks to put straps on when not in use so you are not fiddling with them when it comes to putting your small child back in your automobile.

The Maxi Cosi Priori XP car seat is accommodating for 20 pounds all the way up to 40 pounds and around 35 inches. What is great about this manufacturer is that they are safety experts. The base has the anti rebound bar, so when you put it against the back seat it prevents the whole car seat from flipping forward because the anti rebound bar is going to be secured against the back of your car. It has a reclining function which is simple to reach from the front and you just squeeze the lever and pull it in one continues motion and you are ready to go. Best of all, the cover is easy to remove and very easily cleaned. The one and only problem you can have with the Maxi Cosi Priori XP is that the seat cover is hand wash only.

The seat belt tensioner provides greater driving comfort and means it fits very securely and once in doesn’t move at all. This is one of the safest infant car seats you can buy.
